10. Preserving the Land
Preserving the natural resources of the Grand Canyon is an ongoing effort. Trails take visitors along well maintained paths to protect the delicate ecosystem. In 1988, a group of the Canyon’s licensed river outfitters established the Grand Canyon Conservation Fund. Each year the fund donates a portion of the proceeds from guests to help with conservation efforts.
