11. Falling Water, Pennsylvania
Perhaps the most famous house in the United States (or second-famous, after that one at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue) sits atop a waterfall atop a hill. The view from the top lets you see the surrounding Allegheny Mountains as well as the outflow to the Youghiogheny River. This national landmark draws thousands of tourists annually who want to be inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s greatest work.
